Join us for some fun dinosaur stories, rhymes and songs. Then we will get crafty and each create a dino skeleton to take home. Enjoy a story, learn a little about the history of mosaics then make your own mosaic tile. Learn about Maori uku (clay) use and construct your own uku pot then decorate it with your designs. Try your hand at the ancient art of carving. Use a blade to etch your design into lino, then make prints! Join us as we mix sewing with electronics! Kids will be introduced to basic circuitry and sewing to create their very own glowing stuffed toy.

Animates School Holiday Activities

Paper crane origami workshop
Come and make a paper crane towards the creation of a ‘Senbazuru’ – 1000 paper cranes – to hang under the Our Place marquee. This public art installation is being created as a symbol of peace and to celebrate our sister city connections with Hitachi City, in Japan.

New World Te Puke Easter Trail
Dress up for an Easter Scavenger Hunt, come to downtown Te Puke, follow the Easter trail and solve clues. The Easter trail starts at the Te Puke library where you will collect your trail map. Follow the map around downtown Te Puke. The clues will lead you to the Easter Bunny where children will receive an egg for completing their scavenger hunt sheet.
