Tauranga City Library
There are so many fun activities for kids at the library, something for all ages. Learn about New Zealand’s amazing birds with stories and songs and then make a bird feeder and a cool bird badge to wear. Create your own bath bomb with a mix of delicious scents. Then take them home to sink into a warm bath and watch it fizz! Learn to code your very own ‘Simon Says’ game using Play Doh and Makey Makey invention kids. Create your own movie using Stikbots and green screen technology. We have props from a range of traditional Maori tales for you to use, or you can create your own.
Arts & Crafts at Fraser Cove Shopping Centre
Get creative with arts and crafts and enjoy face painting at Fraser Cove Shopping Centre. Workshops include: Dreamcatchers – create your own personal dreamcatcher using a wonderful array of craft items, ribbon and feathers; Animal Art – create a wonderful wildlife scene using stencils and dyes; Spin Drum Art – create a colourful spin drum with card, papers, beads and string. No bookings required. Spaces may be limited.

Magic Show and Illusions at Bayfair
Bayfair Shopping Centre are hosting a spectacular magic show during the first week of the school holidays. Bookings not essential but we recommend getting there before the show to get a good spot.

Creative Lab at Bayfair
Kids get your creative juices flowing at Bayfair Shopping Centre! Creative craft workshops, jamming in a music session or shaking it out in a dance class! Bookings Essential.

Creative Sensory Session
Session at 8-9am on Wednesday 17th July for families of children with sensory processing disorders. Floam Factory at Tauranga Crossing
Kids can make their own floamy creation at the Floam Factory. It’s open weekdays from 10am – 2pm during both weeks of the school holidays. This activity is for kids aged 4 – 12 years old, it will take approximately 30 minutes to make your floam. No bookings are required, and the best part is- it’s free! The Floam Factory is located on the lower level of the mall, between Michael Hill and Pascoes.

Animates School Holiday Activities
Animates is running FREE activity sessions on Thursday 11 & 18 July at 11am. Both sessions will run for approximately 40 minutes, where children will learn everything there is to know about fin-tastic fish! It’s perfect for children aged 5-10 years old. Make sure you get in early to secure a spot, as spaces are limited.

Free kids workshop with SYD Workshop
Our Place Tauranga are hosting Baillie of Syd Workshops for three days where she will be putting on a range of free kids activities for the little ones to enjoy. There will be Fairy masks & Make your own Jurassic Park; Flower crowns & Make your own Foosball Game and Unicorn & Avengers Pencil Holders.

ROLLIN’ & STROLLIN’ IN KOPURERERUA VALLEY
Get ready for the official opening of the Kopurererua cycleway. Bring your bike, scooter or balance bike, put on your walking shoes and get ready for some rollin’ and strollin’ on the smooth path. There are loads of family-friendly activities lined up for you for the perfect Sunday fun day! Think superhero dress-up, sausage sizzle, radio entertainment (The Hits will spice up the day), spot prizes and a community bike ride.

Free Children’s Nga Toi Maori Workshops
