Top picks for family fun this Labour Weekend 2017

There are lots of fun family activities happening this Labour weekend in Tauranga. From markets, open air cinema, beach tennis, music and arts there is something to entertain the whole family. The weather is looking good this weekend so get outside and enjoy the sunshine!

ANZ Community Day

Celebrating Tauranga Arts Festival 10th birthday with a BIG, BRIGHT and YELLOW birthday party! The Strand will be closed, the streets will be cleared, markets will pop up like candles on a cake and the party will begin! This free family day invites you to come and enjoy the Tauranga CBD with festivities, games, entertainment, poetry, art, live performance, music and markets – BIG, BRIGHT and YELLOW to celebrate our 10th birthday.

Zee Markets & Hug a Pug

This Saturday, the BOP Pug club will be joining Zee Markets for HUG A PUG, there will be a wide range of stalls with all sorts of home crafted, homemade and made with love products. Come along, hug a pug, browse the stalls and enjoy a bite to eat.

Beach Tennis

Make your trip to the Mount even better with a game of beach tennis, an easy and fun version of tennis played on the beach! Using paddle bats and a specially-designed ball, this game is played entirely on the sand in a court similar in size to a beach volleyball court. It uses the same scoring system as regular tennis but more people can play at once. All equipment is provided so grab your family and friends and come down for some free fun!

Experience an outdoor cinema under the stars for the screening of Men and Wood of Foam, a 2017 documentary telling the story of six friends from Brookvale who shaped the history of surfing in Australia. The Little Big Markets Papamoa

Come join The Little Big Markets in celebrating their SUMMER 2018 Season!
